| Thanks to the generosity and support of our friends and family, the Karaoke for Kate night was a smashing success. Whether you participated in karaoke or had a friendly conversation, all had a great evening. In addition to raising awareness to mitochondrial disease, we managed to raise nearly $3,000.

| On a cool, partly cloudy day, we gathered to raise awareness of mitochondrial disease and to celebrate Kate. The morning fun walk began with several speakers who addressed the group with messages of inspiration and hope. After the “fun walk”, a tree dedication and balloon release highlighted the event. The Kaitlin Vasilich Hope Fund also distributed scholarships to three young ladies who will be enrolled in university studies this fall. Their major will be education, which was one of Kate’s dreams. Thanks to the generosity of all who participated, the event raised nearly $10,000.

Kaitlin's Fund - A Fund of Hope "Green Valley Walk-a-Thon Service Project" Monday March 29th thru Friday April 16th Green Valley is part of the East Allegheny School District. For the past eleven years the school has sponsored a fund raiser for several worthwhile causes. This year they will be walking to benefit the Kaitlin Vasilich "Hope" Fund.
